Ranking System
Overview
All of YMAA International follow the same standard ranking system. Shaolin and Taijiquan have separate ranking qualifications. YMAA students worldwide follow this training schedule and normally do not skip levels. In exceptional circumstances, a student may learn material outside of their ranking qualification. For example, if students shows great potential and talent, we may train them for competitions, performances, or assisting in classes. Some students may also learn advanced material through seminars, special classes, private lessons, DVDs, and books. However, we do not support students to do so unless we deem them qualified. Instructors do not teach advanced material to students who they believe are not ready for it. The standard training program was designed for students to train and learn at a a proper pace, to train patiently and diligently.
